Partnerships and work with local communities
The Women Support Center closely cooperates with the public structures, non-governmental and international organizations, as well as with academic institutions. Qualitative partnership relations with the public structures form the basis of the Women Support Center’s work, which enables our organization to act within the framework of the main policy areas to promote gender equality and assist in its implementation in Kyrgyzstan. Collaboration and exchange of ideas, methods and experiences with international and non-governmental organizations plays an important role in our work.
In general, it should be noted that our partnership and network work is based on the principles of openness, transparency and independence and allows improving the quality of interpersonal and professional communication. Thus, partnership has a positive impact on the processes of organizational development, training of professional personnel, and effective resources use. Vivid illustrations of partnerships with NGOs are the write-up of the Alternative report, development of the United Pre-elections Action Platform of Kyrgyzstan’s NGOs “For promotion of women”, and other initiatives that had impact on issues of gender development and protection of women’s rights in Kyrgyzstan.

Right now Women Support Center in cooperation with Women Entrepreneurs Support Association (WECA) are implementing “Promotion of political and economic women’s rights in the new context of Kyrgyzstan”, and also develop network program KyWRAW for creating effective cooperation with regional NGOs.

Work with local communities
Our activities at local level are based on cooperation with the representatives of local communities, involvement of the most active members, and support from local authorities.

In the future, we are planning to continue training of local communities, provide information services and consultations, and actively cooperate with them.
